Counter App Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Counter iOS app (“Counter”, “the App”) collects, uses and protects your information. Please read it carefully to understand how we handle your information.
Data You Create
Counter stores the counters you create on your device: their names, values, step sizes, limits, colours, notes, counting history, counter sets, and your app settings. We, the developer, cannot see this content.
If you turn on iCloud sync, your data is synced through Apple iCloud using your Apple account. It is stored in your own private iCloud database, which only you can access. Widgets read your counters on the device to show them on your Home Screen.
Notifications
With your permission, Counter can send local notifications, such as a daily counting reminder. These notifications are scheduled on your device. You can turn them off in the App or in iOS Settings at any time.
App Purchases
Counter offers in-app purchases and subscriptions. Payments are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Analytics
To understand how the App is used and improve it, Counter sends a small number of anonymous usage events to Analytics Services, for example “app opened”, “counter created” or “premium screen shown”. These events never include your counter names, notes or values.
Advertising
Counter may show ads to free users. Premium users get an ad-free experience. Ads are provided by Google AdMob.
To show and measure ads, Google may collect device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, information about your interactions with ads, and diagnostic data.
Tracking permission. Counter asks for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before Google can use your device’s advertising identifier to show ads that match your interests. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they won’t be personalized with that identifier. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. In these regions, Google’s User Messaging Platform asks for your consent to personalized ads. You can review or change your choice at any time in the App under Settings → Ad Privacy Options.

Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers the App needs to work Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy.
Support and Feedback
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and your message. When you use “Contact Support” in the App, the email also includes your device model, iOS version and app version to help us fix the problem. We use this information only to respond to you, fix issues and improve the App.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your counters stay on your device, and in your iCloud if sync is on, until you delete them. Deleting the App removes its data from your device. iCloud data can be managed in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud. Analytics and advertising data are kept by the providers above under their own retention policies. To ask about data you sent us directly, contact us at info@adelmaer.com.
Children
Counter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last Updated” date above.
